A new thing
a day
"Chitra Pada" means a picture in a word. A visual in the text is rare in Indian scripts most of them evolving out of "Bhrami". The picture is usually separated from the text. The spoken language created the earliest meanings, scripts carried their traces and invited interpretations mostly at the meaning level. What if a picture befriends a text? What new situation can it create? I have tried to avoid formal symbolisms of letterforms but have tried a few experiments with binary words "Jodi Padas" using Kannada script to see typographical possibilities.
